The Human Race

May 4, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Friends and Supporters of the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Santa Rosa on Saturday, May 4 at 8 AM

Please join us at the Human Race or make a donation to support our group: Friends of the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

We’re raising money to replace a vandalized sign that commemorated the relationship between San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge and our sister refuge, Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Both refuges provide critical habitat for the iconic canvasback duck, as well as many other endangered and threatened plants and animals, including the salt marsh harvest mouse and Ridgway’s Rail.

We’re also raising money to install benches on the refuge honoring two Friends board members who have been instrumental in the expansion of the refuge and restoration of its natural wetlands, former board president and current board member Francesca Demgen, and the late Jerry Karr (1945-2014), former president and board member.

Other fundraising needs include a shade sail structure for kids who come to the summer camp at the refuge, and maintenance of our website.

If you can join us for a fun morning at the Human Race, contact Justin Bodell at bodelljustin@gmail.com, or consider making a donation.

Thank You!
